CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- The ESPY's were full of touching moments. Wednesday night, July 15, may have been the most emotional because it included heroes from the Tri-State. There one in particular that stood out. One of them was for the best moment of the year in sports. It's something no one from cincinnati will soon forget. Lauren Hill received the best moment award. NBA MVP Stephen Curry introduced the award before a touching tribute that showed Lauren with her team on that day back in November when she made that layup she dreamed about for months. Her parent's, Brent and Lisa, accepted the award in her honor. "I think she reminded us that we're all vulnerable to be dealt a bad hand. She also showed us through heart, determination, strength and faith that no matter what, it is possible to achieve your dreams," said her mother, Lisa Hill. Lisa spoke with Local 12 after the ESPY Awards. She told Local 12 she never could have imagined a year ago she would be in the place she is. Like her daughter, Lisa has accepted her role with class, grace and determination to carry on the mission to cure cancer. Follow us on Twitter @Local12 and LIKE us on Facebook for updates!
