How & Why We Shear our Sheep Last week Charlie was back to shear the next group of ewes due to lamb in December. I love shearing day, although long and hard work, the ewes look so much cleaner, brighter and lighter.I use Instagram Stories daily in my sheep barn. And up until now, I’ve had no problems with showing the truth behind what I do everyday. But today…Today INSTAGRAM BLURRED MY SHEARING VIDEOS!At first I was like whatever…and kind of laughed about it. But as the day progressed, I got more upset. Upset that in this world of choice and freedom of speech, they blocked mine.My choice to raise livestock.My choice to share a chore that is mandatory for animal welfare.My choice to show how it is done properly.And this scares me.The fact they can block one entire side of a choice, a profession.
