We had a fairly dry first half of the summer, with an extremely wet second half of July, all of August, and September. (My rain gauge showed over 25 inches of rain between July and August). We found ourselves fighting moisture for most of second cut, both from the ground and from the air. Some fields even seemed to have "standing water on a hillside" - which we wish we were joking about. Still, despite its challenges, it was a rewarding season that set us up for expansion in 2019.
